The National Symphony Orchestra has recorded “The Musical Zodiac”

The National Symphony Orchestra is delighted to announce that it has recorded “The Musical Zodiac” with composer and conductor Debbie Wiseman, for release on the Classic FM label in September 2016.

Each of the work’s 12 movements explores the characteristics of a particular astrological sign and the recording will feature many of the orchestra’s principal players in solo roles. Following on from Wiseman’s chart-topping score for BBCTV’s “Wolf Hall”, the orchestra has hugely enjoyed collaborating on this imaginative and creative project, inspired by Wiseman’s new role as composer-in-residence for Classic FM. The National Symphony has an extensive recorded catalogue and the Wiseman’s work will be a welcome addition to its recorded legacy.
