The National Symphony Orchestra holds personal data relating to musicians including names, addresses, contact details and bank details. This information is not shared with third party companies/organisations and is not used for any marketing purposes. Bank details may be used in order to provide payment to musicians in respect of work completed and contact details may be used to contact musicians in order to enquire about their availability to participate in orchestral work.
Personal data is held on a secure server and access to that information is restricted to the minimal number of people possible. At any point individuals may request to see what personal information is held or request that any or all of their personal details be removed form The National Symphony Orchestra’s database by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. This will not affect an individual’s likelihood of being booked for performing work nor will it prevent the individual from being paid. Payment can be made by cheque if so requested, or bank details can be provided for the purposes of paying one performance and then removed.
This policy is in line with the General Data Protection Regulation.
